Mason Dixon, Community Development and Planning Expert
Based in Worcester, Massachusetts, Moses Dixon is the CEO of the Central Massachusetts Agency on Aging, who believes heavily in building and developing his community for the benefit of all of his neighbors.
Understanding the interconnected nature of community, education, and economy has been the central focus of Moses Dixon’s work for a while and was the basis for his Ph.D. work at New York State University, from which he recently graduated. There, he has closely researched the ways that black communities are impacted by the closure of black colleges. Academically, he understands this, and in hands-on terms he knows this. His experience in the field includes veteran and black community work, as well as community planning and development with many associated communities. Moses Dixon has had to put in hard work to promote interdisciplinary efforts that can better build and support these groups.
